Should I be taking a low-dose of aspirin every day to help prevent heart attacks?

This website is designed to help patients and providers determine if daily low-dose aspirin therapy may be beneficial in preventing coronary heart disease (CHD). The recommendations are based on the United States Preventative Services Task Force report on aspirin (available here).

In order to begin assessing the risk:benefit ratio of aspirin therapy we must start by determining your 10 year risk of CHD. This calculation is based on data from the Framingham study. In order to complete this form you will need your age, lipid information, blood pressure and diabetes/smoking status. Please input these data below and click 'Submit' to continue.

Please note that at present this tool is only valid for males. Support for females will be added shortly!
